In other words, dry skin is caused by a lack of oil, while dehydrated skin is caused by a lack of water. It’s also worth noting that your skin can be both dry and dehydrated at the same time, so it’s important to implement hydrating products that contain oil— keeping your skin smooth and supple — into your daily skincare routine.
